On ******* I came to Best Buy Store **** in Las Vegas with a warranty problem with a JBL speaker. My speaker was not covered with the store warranty. However the warranty information in the product's book advised the consumer to bring the product to the store where it was purchased for JBL's one year warranty. The attendant at the customer service booth advised me that I needed to contact JBL to get the warranty honored. I showed the technician the wording in the manufacturer's book that the product should be returned to the place of purchase. She read the warranty information and advised me that the manual said the defective product should be returned to the place of purchase OR the manufacturer. I requested to speak with a store manager and was referred to, I assume, the assistant manager and the store manager, identified respectively as Cecilia L. and Meleeza C. upon their response the tech's page, they reviewed the situation. They mutually agreed that I should have purchased a store warranty and I would not be in the situation regarding who should honor the warranty. I was further advised that I HAVE TO deal with the dealer to get warranty service. "Have to" is a strong demand. Further the managers appeared to extol their supervisory positions rather than assisting me with a solution. It would have been more helpful and professional if the employees had perhaps referred me to a website or phone number to reach the manufacturer. It was embarrassing the way those employees handled the situation. I don't spend a ton of money at your stores, but rest assured I will discontinue patronizing Best Buy for future purchases.**Respectfully,*Benjamin Harris*Member ID*****************@***.com
