Today, Dec * we went into Best Buy in Port Huron Michigan in hopes to buy a vacuum. We were looking at Dyson originally but came across another that we wanted information on. There were no salespeople in that department so we headed up to the counter with another item we were purchasing. I proceeded to explain to the lady at the counter that we were looking at a Shark F** vacuum and that there was no one in the department to speak to and wondered about a price, information on the product and if we could possibly try it out before making the purchase. I told her we were originally deciding on dyson but wondered about this Shark vacuum we had found. She immediately volunteered her opinion which we appreciated, stating she recommended Shark and that she could get at least * co-workers who have switched from Dyson to Shark.*She proceeded to look up the Shark vacuum online and gave us the price of the vacuum then said she had that one located at the display as you come in the store. We went over to the exact vacuum with a sign on it stating sale price of $*** or $$***. She then told us they had * of them set there this morning and that she had sold * of them for that price and what a great deal it was. We asked if she could pull up the best buy.ca site to see what the price was here in Canada and she told me she had no way to do that, that she could not connect to the Canadian site. I wondered why and said I was able to connect to best buy.com from Canada. She says there was no way to. I wanted to compare prices. This lady then called over a different girl and said we were trying to decide on the vacuum and that she had to look after something else. At this time we asked if the girl could have someone go to the vacuums for us to get info. She gladly pages for someone to meet us there. When we made our way back to the vacuums the girl that was there couldn’t answer our questions stating she was from the TV department and was really hoping no questions were needing to be answered. I asked if we could try the vacuum and she said go ahead but she didn’t know how it worked to just start pushing buttons. I said to her “ no offence to you but if I’m spending money on a product such as a vacuum I wanted someone who could answer my questions”. Her reply to us was of course I agree I would want someone with knowledge also. She could not locate a tag for the vacuum so I explained they were at the front on sale. She looked it up and said that’s strange it’s not showing it on the site. She went to the front to check and came back and said that was not the correct sign for the vacuum that was sitting there. *I explained to her that the lady at the front told us it was the one on sale and that she had sold * already just today at that price. We all made our way to the front and spoke to the First Lady who denied everything and another lady who said it was not the correct price for the vacuum sitting there with the sign on top of the box. I retold her what the First Lady said and at this time the First Lady hung her head down, said she didn’t tell us any of what I had said and then she left. She flat out lied to her manager and of course now I realized she had lied to us about selling * of these in one day. When I questioned this she said the customers would have paid whatever it rang up at and if it rang up at $*** that’s what they paid. Excuse me? If the sign said $****$*** then no customer is going to pay $*** more and not ask questions. I said that I wanted to purchase the vacuum at the price it was signed at and they said no they would not do that. We went back and forth regarding us purchasing it and they refused to make good on the sign. I asked to speak to a manager and the young lady we were talking to in the end said she was the manager which I wondered also being we had been told the manager was having lunch at that time by the girl from the TV department. So I told them they lost the sale of a vacuum and the other product we were purchasing that was another $**.**I would like to know what can be done about this as I would like to get this vacuum for the price on the sign. **We have shopped at your Port Huron store numerous times while in the states but this will be the last and final time if things are not made right. **For a store to be as empty of customers this close to Christmas as it was today I would say the sale of both items would have been a help. **Please contact me ASAP. My husband and I both work retail in Canada and we are blown away by the lack of customer satisfaction as we walked out of the store
