I was trying to have an item ordered delivered as ordered. ... Hello Amazon:**Ref: Order * ***-*******-******* **I was surprised and sorely disappointed that Amazon’s policy would so easily permit a seller in its Amazon Marketplace to renege on an executed purchase contract.**On December **, ****, I placed an order for “Harry Potter Complete Book Series Special Edition Boxed Set Rowling, J.K.” Sold by: SkuHome for the listed price of $**.**. Order * ***-*******-******* Arriving January * - January * * *My orders on Amazon.com stated: “Your package was shipped Thursday, December **. This order was purchased from and shipped by a third-party seller, SkuHome.”**On Sun, Dec **, **** at *:** AM, *I received the following email from *****@***.com:**“Hello,**We're writing to let you know we processed your refund of $**.** for your Order ***-*******-******* from SkuHome.**This refund is for the following item(s):** Item: Harry Potter Complete Book Series Special Edition Boxed Set* Quantity: ** ASIN: *********** Reason for refund: Refused to accept delivery** Here's the breakdown of your refund for this item:** Item Refund: $**.****Notes: I'M VERY SORRY ABOUT THIS ISSUE, YOUR ITEM HAS BEEN RETURNED DUE TO INCORRECT ITEM*MY STAFF SENT YOU WRONG ITEM BECAUSE THIS ITEM I LISTED HAS BEEN OUT OF STOCK*SORRY AND HOPE YOU SYMPATHIZE :(**. . . . .“**The $**.** was paid from my charge account when the item ordered was shipped on December **, ****. I rightfully expected that Amazon would require a seller in its Marketplace to honor the sales contract by delivering the item according to the contract between January * and *, ****.**Apparently, according to the email received on December **, ****, the seller on the Amazon Marketplace can renege out of a sales contract by simply refunding the purchase price. It seems to me that this policy could allow a seller to renege on a sales contract should the seller find someone who might be willing to pay a higher price.**I expect Amazon to require its sellers to completely fulfill sales purchase contracts. In this case, Order * ***-*******-******* , I request Amazon to require the seller SkuHome to deliver to me the item Harry Potter Complete Book Series Special Edition Boxed Set Rowling, J.K. as ordered for the price of $**.** agreed to on December **, ****. **Thank you, John Werner******@***.com
I ordered item at a reasonable prize and to reorder that same item at this time would cost me significantly more than the agreed to price at original purchase. Also, this was meant as a gift to be received by middle of January ****.
