Use your login credentials and click Continue. If you've forgotten your password, simply click reset password to change it.
Once you see your orders, select the item you want to change or modify. Depending on the order status, you may be able to update not only the quantity, but also other details such as the delivery address, billing address, and payment method.
Simply follow the on-screen instructions to change the order quantity. If you don’t see this option, it usually means Amazon is already processing the order. Once the item has been dispatched, it may no longer be possible to modify the quantity.
Also, keep in mind that some order changes may not be available when using a mobile device. If you’re unable to edit the quantity through the app or mobile browser, try using a desktop or laptop computer instead.
If you do not see an option to change the order quantity, proceed to the next step.
Visit the Track Your Order page or go back to Your Orders and click “Track Package” to check whether the item has already been shipped. If it hasn’t been shipped yet and the item was sold by an independent seller, consider contacting the seller directly to request a quantity change.
If the item has already been shipped or dispatched and you can no longer change the quantity, you may need to wait for the package to arrive and return the extra items afterward. If you need more items, just place a new order. Cancellation may also be an option, but orders that have already been dispatched or shipped usually can no longer be cancelled.
If the order hasn’t been dispatched or processed yet but you still don’t see an option to change the quantity, consider contacting Amazon Customer Support for assistance. A representative may be able to help you modify the order or explain why the option is unavailable.
To contact support, go back to Your Orders and select the item you want to change. Then, look for the “I Need More Help” option and start a chat with a customer service representative for further assistance.
Were you able to change your Amazon order successfully? Keep in mind that order changes are usually only available before the order has been processed by Amazon or the third-party seller. After dispatch, changes may no longer be possible. That’s why it’s always a good idea to review your order carefully before submitting it to Amazon. If order changes are no longer available, your best option may be to return the extra items after delivery or place a new order for additional quantities if needed. GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
