There are many ways to submit a complaint to DirectTV but the best option is to call in. If you call into DirectTV you are more likely to get a strong resolution than using http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/contentPageNR.jsp?assetId=P1700006.
The issue in GetHuman-mpleas's own words
Get in contact with a PERSON who can resolve my lack of service for almost * months! ... AT&T Customer Service,**I am writing to express my extreme displeasure with both the quality of installation*repair services and the follow-up customer service I have experienced with AT&T over the past two months. I have been a “valued” AT&T customer for over ** years and seek an appropriate resolution to the complete lack of internet service I have experienced since February *. This resolution should include immediate restoration of my internet service and a full refund and*or credit for fees I have incurred during this period of outage. I will enumerate the issues I have experienced so that you will understand the depth of the problems I have had to deal with.**The timeline is as follow:****February *th--my high speed internet service went out.***February *th--I called and set an appointment with a technician for February *th between *am and **pm. I took a half day off at work to receive the technician. I received a text message from AT&T less than ** hours prior to the scheduled appointment stating that the appointment was on hold due to an area wide outage. The morning of the scheduled appointment I received a text message saying that the area network had been fixed. However, the problem had not been resolved and I was still without service.***February **th--I called and scheduled another appointment for February **th between *am and **pm. I asked a friend to stay at the house during those hours to meet the technician. The technician never arrived. When I called AT&T to inquire about the missed appointment they told me that the technician had gone to the house, no one answered the door and he could not enter the yard because of the dog. In fact, the dogs were inside the house in a kennel and someone was at the house awaiting the arrival of the technician throughout the entire *-hour window.***February **th-- after the technician failed to show, I called AT&T the same afternoon and scheduled another appointment for February **th between *am and **pm. This time I waited on the front porch for the *-hour window. The technician never arrived. When I called to inquire about the missed appointment, once again I was told that the technician had come to the house and no one answered the door and that he could not enter the yard because of the dog. Let me re-emphasize that I was at my house on the front porch waiting the entire time.***February **th-- again I contacted AT&T immediately after the technician no showed. The next available appointment time that fit my schedule was not until March **th between *am and **pm. ***March **th--the technician arrived and tested the equipment in the house. He reported that the problem was a line issue and that he would not be able to resolve it, but that a lineman would be out later that afternoon. The lineman arrived around *pm and worked in the yard for a couple of hours before leaving. He had removed the wire casing leaving wires exposed. The problem was still unresolved. I contacted AT&T and explained everything that had happened to date to a customer service representative who told me the problem was an area problem and would not be resolved until March **th and advised me to wait until then to seek any reimbursement.***March **th-- a contractor from AT&T arrived asking for permission to dig to fix the lines. Contractor dug a hole approximately * feet wide, * feet long, and * feet deep and left. The problem was still unresolved.***March **th-- the contractor returned and worked in the yard for a few hours. When the workers left, the hole was still there and the problem was still unresolved. I contacted AT&T again and this time was told that the issue was bigger than they had previously anticipated and that the estimated date of completion was March **th. ***March **th-- the workers have appeared twice since the **th, each time leaving a larger hole in the yard along with various trash items (soda cans, water bottles, chip bags).***March **th—the completion date has passed and I am still without internet service.***In sum, I have no internet service and no one I have spoken to at AT&T has any useful information about a resolution to this problem. Therefore, I am seeking compensation not only for my lack of high speed internet service but also compensation for my subscriptions for which I pay even though I cannot use them because of AT&T’s inability to provide service. Lack of internet service has rendered my home electronics unusable (laptop, iPad, Kindle, Smart TV, gaming consoles, and phones). I am also paying for other services I cannot access due to lack of internet service (Hulu, Netflix, PlayStation Network, PlayStation Vue, Madden online league, NBA Live online league, Gran Turismo Sport online league). Additionally, AT&T technicians rendered my backyard completely unsafe since March **th leaving exposed wires and a large hole leading out of the yard.**I need immediate restoration of my high speed internet service and complete financial compensation from AT&T. I have paid my AT&T bill on time for ** years* I have lived up to my end of our contract. I expect you to live up to yours.**Please contact me at….
