To activate call forwarding, dial *72 from your landline phone and wait for the dial tone. Then, enter your AT&T mobile number. Be sure to include the area code or country code if required. For local calls, simply enter the 10-digit mobile number.
Remain on the line until you hear the confirmation tone indicating that call forwarding has been activated. Also, make sure that no one is using your AT&T mobile phone while you're setting up call forwarding. If the mobile line is busy, the call forwarding feature may not activate successfully.
Do you travel internationally? Keep in mind that if your calls are forwarded while you're outside the United States, additional long-distance or international forwarding charges may apply, depending on your calling plan.
