I contacted Walmart a week ago in regards to an issue with the deli department. I came home had a piece of pepperoni and next thing I knew I was choking. I pulled out a long strand of plastic string which was apparently left of the pepperoni as it was being sliced. I immediately checked the pepperoni and the whole portion had been cut with plastic on it. I threw it out knowing I couldn't make it back to the store right away and I didn't want my family to eat it. I contacted Walmart and a Manager from Philadelphia Mills named Marcus called me. I missed his call and called back the following day. First, time I called they said he was in a manager's meeting and would be done in ** minutes. So, I ended up calling *.* hours later to which I asked for Marcus and the lady hung up on me. I immediately called back and she let the phone ring for * minutes before answering with an attitude stating he wasn't there, she hasn't seen him, he may be at lunch so on so forth. After much of her attitude later I asked if there was someone else I can speak to. She transferred me over to the Store manager named Donna. She was very helpful and nice. I told her my situation and she said it would be best if I've talked to someone named Crystal or Treyzon sp? She put me on hold and after telling someone my situation they said the best thing I can do is bring in my receipt (from a week ago) and get a refund. Besides Donna, I do not feel like anyone cared or took the time to acknowledge my situation. I want at least for them to talk to the deli section to prevent this happening again. It is terrible this has happened but i'm glad it happened to me not my three year old son. I have pictures and a video of the meat with the plastic. I feel like a refund with a receipt I do not have suffices this situation. And of course it was handled very poorly.
GetHuman-aimyand did not yet indicate what WalMart.com should do to make this right.
