I have been a Target shopper for many years, spending about $*,*** annually, but this week has been a disaster. I ordered a gift online on Thanksgiving morning, received a confirmation and later a note that it was ready for pickup. Before I got to the store, I received another email that my order was canceled because there was no stock. When the other items I ordered were delivered, the boxes were smashed and one was opened and filled with snow. I returned one item that was particularly badly damaged to my store, but was told they could only give me store credit, even though I used my Redcard to purchase the item. The clerk had no explanation why credit couldn’t be given to my acct. I purchased additional items while at the store, but used the store gift card, which means that I did not receive *% off for using my Redcard. Then I went to another line to pick up a different online order but I left after waiting for ** minutes because there were still ten customers ahead of me. Today I received an email that order was canceled because I didn’t pick up on time. I am very disappointed with my recent experiences, and while I try to avoid shopping at Walmart or Amazon, I may have to consider those options in the future. At the very least, I would like an explanation why I could not receive a refund to my Redcard when I returned the damaged package you delivered. Thank you.
