If you are sending your product return back to Target via UPS, use your UPS tracking number to track your package. Most returns take about five business days after arriving to be processed. If you're tracking the money for your refund, that usually takes around 7-10 days. Contact your credit card issuer or bank for more information.
If you returned an item to Target, you have several ways to track the status of your refund, depending on your payment type. Target usually issues a refund in the same manner the purchase was made - that is, if you paid for your purchase with a debit card, Target will credit your card for the value of the refund.
If you made your purchase via credit card, the refund usually takes 7-10 days to show up. Speak with your card issuer to track the status of a refund.
The type of refund you receive depends on how long ago you made your purchase. If your check has already cleared, you will be issued a merchandise return card. If you return the item within ten days of purchase, you will be issued a cash refund.
For all other types of purchases, such as cash, PayPal, or gift card, you will in most cases receive cash (if paid in cash) or a Target gift card with the value of the refund loaded onto it. These returns usually take around five business days after an item is received at the Return Center. You can track the status of your return via your account on Target.com or the Target mobile app.
If you have further questions, contact Target Customer Service.
In most cases, Target will not complete an item return until they receive it at their return center. These returns are usually handled via UPS. When you initiated the product return, Target should have issued a shipping label. Note the tracking number on the UPS shipping label - you may use this to track the progress of your package to Target's return center. If you encounter any difficulty, contact UPS Customer Service with your queries.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Target in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our How Do I Check the Status of My Target Refund? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible.
