Luckily, recovering your password and PIN is a straightforward process. We look at the steps you need to take to recover your Verizon password and reset your PIN.
The first step to recovering a lost password is to visit the Verizon homepage. Open a new web browser window, type www.verizon.com into the address bar, and hit Enter.
On the Verizon homepage, click on Sign in in the top right-hand corner. A dropdown menu will pop up. Select Account overview.
You should now see the Sign in page. Click on Forgot user ID or password located above the Continue button.
In the text box, enter the 10-digit mobile phone number associated with your account. If you're a Verizon Home customer, you need to enter your User ID. Press Continue to submit the details.
To recover your User ID, click on Forgot your User ID and follow the instructions.
You can now choose how you want to receive a link: via text, email, or letter. Check the box and press Send.
If you opt for the latter, a letter will be sent to the account billing address via the U.S. postal system. This method takes longer as you must wait for the letter to arrive. Once it does, follow the instructions to reset your password and gain access to your Verizon account.
If you chose to receive a text message or email, the next step is to check your inbox for a message from Verizon. Don't see anything? Also check your spam or junk folders.
The message will contain a link. Click on it and follow the prompts to reset the password. Once a new password is created, you should have full access to your Verizon account.
Now that you are back in your Verizon account, it's time to reset your forgotten or lost PIN.Go to your Account Settings.Click on Security.Select Change Account PIN.Enter a new 4-digit PIN number.Retype the number.Click Submit to confirm the update. You should see a notification message confirming that a new PIN has been set.

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
After helping consumers for 10 years, we realized that you need an impartial, live person you can talk to about comparing the various TV, cable, Internet and phone plans in your area- somebody who can compare the best deals across telecom providers.
