If you're considering getting Verizon Fios service, one of the most important factors is learning if it's available in your area. The process is simple, and you can typically do it right from the Verizon website. The following information can help you determine if the Verizon Fios service is available in your area.
Your address
Visit the Verizon website.
Scan the Verizon homepage to find the Verizon home services search bar. Its section is labeled with "Get Verizon Home Services" followed by "Check if Verizon Home Internet is available." Below that line, directly above the search bar, it says "Enter street address" and "Use my location."
Click on the white search bar. Doing so will cause the cursor to blink and your phone's keyboard to appear.
Start typing in your address. Addresses will pop up below the search bar while you're typing. Continue typing your address until yours appears below the search bar.
When you see your address pop up, click on it.
If you live in a house, a black-and-white "Get started" button will appear below the search bar. If you live in an apartment, a second search bar will appear that says "Enter Apartment/Unit" above it. Apartment numbers and/or unit numbers will appear below the second search bar. Click on your apartment or unit number when you see it. Upon doing this, the black-and-white "Get started" button will appear.
Once you verify that the address you entered is correct, click the black-and-white button. A white screen will appear that says "Let's see what's available."
Once the search is complete, the results will be at the top of the page. For example, if the service is available at your home, it will say, "Good news, Fios Home Internet is available at your address." Below that will be your address.
Scroll further down until you find the line that says "Choose Your Plan." Below that, it says, "Get started with our popular plan & perk combinations or start your own plan below." Click through the options to add services, such as live TV or internet. As you add options, you can view available plans.
Look through the plans that are available and what's included in each. You'll also be able to view the costs.
Once you find a plan you like, it can be beneficial to reach out to Verizon customer support. The representative can provide you with additional details and help set up the plan for you. They can also set up any necessary appointments, if they're required.
If you're interested in having Verizon Fios service at your home, it's ideal to speak with a representative. They can guide you through the process and get you all set up.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
After helping consumers for 10 years, we realized that you need an impartial, live person you can talk to about comparing the various TV, cable, Internet and phone plans in your area- somebody who can compare the best deals across telecom providers. So we created a free concierge service you can call at the phone number below.
