My Experience Calling Bank of America at this Number

This phone number for Bank of America is no longer in service. It tells you to call 800-432-1000 instead. This is the main support number that's listed on their website. It's answered by an automated system that asks you to say or enter a telephone access ID, card or account number. If you don't respond, it says that for security, you must provide the required information to reach an agent or use the automated system. However, there were no further details on the automated system, so I'm not sure how to access that. I tried pressing 0, but it just repeats the message.

I was calling to ask about opening an account with Bank of America, so I had no ID number to provide. Their website says this number is for account information, lost or stolen ATM or debit cards and opening an account. The site has several categories, and you must select one to see the relevant contact information. A few have different phone numbers, such as credit cards and loans, but most list the 800-432-1000 number.

Most of these contact pages have a corresponding list of frequently asked questions. They also have a branch and ATM locator and an online system for scheduling in-person appointments. Besides phone numbers, you can find their mailing address and links to message them on Facebook or Twitter.
