About * hours ago, I was looking to purchase a few items for my home and went onto Walmart website. I found what I wanted and decide to take the offer of receiving $**. off orders and free shipping. I was directed to Synchrony site and applied for credit card. I received an email saying I was approved and given a temporary card that would be uploaded onto Walmart site so I could shop. Well, the payment section did not show the Walmart temporary shopping pass and it wanted the CVV code from the back of the 'card'! After * phone calls to various reps outside the U.S.A., the last call with Serena determined that I could not use the temporary pass and that it expired anyway. So I shopped with a more reliable credit card, but take exception that 'free shipping' is not free as the retail cost was cheaper if I picked it up at the store! How is that free when you back it into the price??? This reminded me why I should never shop online because I have to spend time trying to educate the people who do not understand American English....how is that cost effective? It's not because I will never shop Walmart again.
