An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this WalMart phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like WalMart staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.
The least busy time to call
The least busy day to call WalMart is Thursday. The most busy day to call is Monday. Again, this is based on a sample of 19,181 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.
The shortest wait on hold
We measured the shortest hold times to be on Tuesday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Wednesday.
The best time to call
In summation, the best day to call WalMart is Thursday. This is not the day with the shortest wait on hold in the phone system, but we still recommend it for its ideal combination of low call volume and short hold times. Plus we believe that WalMart staffs the call center well on Thursday.

My Experience Calling WalMart at this Number

Nov 17, 2023

Upon calling this number, I was connected with the WalMart Contacts line. I was then presented a menu of options, which included connecting to a lens specialist or the general WalMart customer service line for all other types of inquiries. The system warned me that the lens specialists would be unable to assist me with in-store or web-based orders.

Popular reasons someone may call this line include getting information about contact lenses and placing an order for them. This line can also provide support with contact lens orders that were made over the phone, including providing refunds and assisting with tracking.

If you call this number after hours, you'll be directed to call back during regular business hours, which are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Friday. On weekends, the contact lens center is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 12 to 7 p.m. on Sundays. I wasn't given the option to leave a message or leave my number for someone to call me back.

When I pressed the button to connect with a contact lens specialist, I was told that my call would be recorded for training and quality assurance. After only a few seconds listening to this recording, my call was answered. The person on the other end of the line spoke clearly and was easy to understand — it seemed like they were based locally. The agent's tone was pleasant and they provided very helpful advice.

I asked several questions about the types of contact lenses available and whether they would be suitable for my personal needs. The lens specialist was able to tell me what kind of lenses were available for my prescription. I also got clear answers about what colors and lens wear lengths would be appropriate. The answers came quickly and didn't seem scripted; the representative seemed to be genuinely knowledgeable about the products on offer.

Next, I asked about pricing and whether there were any promotions available to me. Not only was I informed about a 2 for 1 eyewear sale, but was reminded to check back in the future to learn about upcoming Black Friday sales. Overall, it was easy to get the answers I needed when I called this line. I got lots of information about the types of contacts that would suit me best as well as how to order and maintain them, and it took only about 5 minutes to do so.
