If you need to call Simple Mobile to report an outage, or if you have some other important call you need to make before service has been restored, and if you can't borrow someone else's phone, try wi-fi calling instead. Wi-fi calling means placing a call using your phone's wi-fi connection. As long as you haven't used up your monthly data yet, you should still be able to place your call. To enable wi-fi calling, open Settings menu and look for the option.
You should consider enabling wi-fi calling as your permanent backup method of calling. That way, you don't have to scramble around, trying to figure out how to turn it on, in an emergency.
The simplest explanation is often the correct one. Your phone may not be getting calls because you told it not to and then forgot.
Similarly, you may have forgotten to take your phone out of airplane mode after a flight. It is possible that a system update accidentally put your phone in airplane mode, too.
This can reset a lot of the settings that might be causing a problem with reception.

Click on the My Account link in the upper right corner of the page.
Look for notifications that your account has been suspended because of a late bill payment.
Every phone has its own procedure for this, so follow the manufacturer's instructions.

If none of the previous steps have worked, the next most likely culprit is a service outage.
Tell the representative about everything you did to determine that the problem was not with your phone.
Once you inform the company of the service outage, Simple Mobile will send out a repair team as soon as it can determine just what the problem is.
