How Do I Report a AT&T Wireless Service Outage?

AT&T Wireless is an American telecommunications company offering wireless mobile phone, TV, and Internet services to its customers. The company has over 162 million customers throughout the United States, including the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. If you're an AT&T Wireless customer and are currently experiencing an outage, follow any of the steps outlined below to report the service outage.


Check Known Service Outages in Your Area

You can check if there are any known service outages in your area first.

  1. Go to https://ufix.att.com/portal/
  2. Sign in to your AT&T account with your User ID and password.
  3. If there are any known outages in your area, it will display on the screen. If there are no reports of service outages, instructions will appear on the screen on how to troubleshoot problems or initiate a service outage report.


AT&T Wireless ‘Mark the Spot' App


AT&T has a ‘Mark the Spot' app for smartphones to make reporting dropped calls and network issues easier. You can download the app in the app store.

  1. Open the Mark the Spot app on your phone.
  2. Click ‘Where Did It Happen.'
  3. Click ‘What Happened' and enter details.
  4. Click ‘Where Were You' and enter details.
  5. Click ‘Submit.'
  6. If you're unable to connect to a network to submit the report, select ‘Save' your report instead. Saved reports will display as a red pin on the map.
  7. When your device connects to the network again, try to submit your report.
  8. You will receive a free text message confirming your report has been received.


Call Into AT&T Wireless Customer Support

If the above options are giving you issues or you prefer to talk to someone on the phone, you can call into the AT&T Wireless customer support team. Give the customer service representative your current location so they can check if there are any known outages. If there aren't any reports of outages, the customer service agent will walk you through the next steps.
