A lot of people nowadays are looking to get out of their current contract phone plan, or they'd rather not have to resort to obtaining one. The good news is it's easier than you think to switch your mobile carrier to Simple Mobile. This guide will show you how, including some options straight from the company's mouth.

Common Ways of Switching

Common ways of switching to a new carrier include the popular bring-your-own-phone method. First, verify that your phone is compatible with the company's network. Simple Mobile states on its website that as long as your phone is either T-Mobile compatible or an unlocked GSM device, you're good to go. Next, you purchase a SIM card. The company even sells a 3-in-1 card for about 99 cents. You can even keep your old number or opt for a new one. Keep in mind that Simple Mobile only allows you to change your phone number once in a 24-hour period.

Some people love to upgrade their phones too and there's nothing wrong with that. Simple Mobile makes it easy to get the latest phone for a fraction of the normal cost. There's even a chance of buying your phone on a payment plan. If you buy a new phone or bring your own, you'll be asked to buy a service plan.

Making the Switch

When you're ready to switch, the steps are going to be different depending on if you bring your phone or buy new. If you bring your own phone, all you have to do is click on the Bring Your Own Phone option that's under the shop tab. Follow the prompts and add your plan. Once you receive your kit, you can activate it by phone or online.

If you prefer an upgrade, pick the phone and add your plan. Keep in mind that if the payment plan is an option, it'll be for the phone only as phone plans must be paid in full. As always, if you have any questions about making the switch or about tracking your purchase, feel free to call Simple Mobile Customer Service agents.
