How to Cancel Call Forwarding

You can forward both your home phone (landline) and your cellphone. To cancel call forwarding on your AT&T phone, follow the steps for each outlined below.

Landline

If you have forwarded your landline to another phone, do the following to cancel it:

  1. Perform the "off hook" action with your physical phone. Off hook action usually refers to one of these actions:
    • Hitting the "flash" key on your phone.
    • Pressing the "talk" key on your phone or phone base.
    • Pressing the "phone" key on your phone or phone base.
  2. Listen for the dial tone.
  3. When you hear the dial tone, hit #21# on your phone.
  4. Wait until you hear the confirmation tone (usually three seconds) before you replace the handset.
  5. Once you hear that confirmation tone, your call forwarding on your AT&T phone has been canceled.

Cellphone

To cancel call forwarding on your AT&T cellphone, follow the steps for your iPhone or Android outlined below.

iPhone

If you have an iPhone, cancel your AT&T call forwarding by doing the following:

  1. Open "settings" on your iPhone.

  3. Touch "Call forwarding."
