Hello I have had the following issue with Groupon and have not been able to get it resolved. Now they have blocked my account from being able to request a call back or request an online chat. On November **, **** my boss asked me to purchase a Groupon that was available for The Trump Tower Spa. It was $*** for a massage, a facial a manicure and pedicure. He wanted to give this to his wife for her birthday which was the next day (nov **th). I made several attempts to purchase the Groupon through my boss' account but I could not get it to go through. Even though I knew there was plenty of money in the account I tried calling the bank to make sure the issue was not with them but as it turns out November **th was a bank holiday and they were closed. Later that night I received a text message from the bank asking if we had attempted to make the purchase through Groupon. I responded that yes we did. I did not receive anymore information from the bank after that. The next morning (the day of my boss' wife's birthday) I logged into Groupon again to see if the Groupon purchase had gone through since I had responded to the bank's text. It had not. I made another attempt to purchase it and since I was still unable to get the purchase to go through I logged on to my Groupon account. I was able to make the purchase using the company debit card that I have issued in my name for the same account that I was attempting to purchase through my boss' account.. My boss' wife was able to get in to Trump Towers the same day (the **th) to have the services done. Unfortunately she did not have a good experience. She made the staff at Trump Towers aware of what had occurred and they suggested that she contact Groupon for a refund. I was asked to contact Groupon the same day to request the refund. I was surprised to see that they no longer had a phone number that I could call as I had in the past. Instead I had to click on the help tab, explain the problem and request a call back. I received the call back explained the situation to the customer service rep and I was told they could not issue a refund. I requested to speak to a supervisor who when I asked said his name is C. Fruedaneira. I explained the entire situation he also said that they would not be able to issue a refund. I proceeded to tell him that the Trump Tower staff told Vickie (my boss's wife) that she could request a refund from Groupon and also read the Groupon Promise to him off of their website. After much back and forth he relinquished and said that since Trump Towers had not marked the Groupon as redeemed he could issue the refund. I was satisfied so we disconnected the call. However the next day I logged in to the online banking to see if the refund was issued and notice that there were two charges for $*** from Groupon and one credit for $***. I am assuming that the account was charged twice since we made so many attempts to purchase the Groupon to begin with. I again contacted Groupon through the help tab and requested another call back. I explained the situation and requested a supervisor. I started to explain the situation to the supervisor and in midsentence my call was disconnected Since they had my phone number I assumed that I would get a call back but that never happened. I AGAIN requested a call back through the help tab. When I got the call back I was again hung up on. I waited a few days, logged on to my account and hit the help tab. I can no longer request a call back through the help tab. I typed in all of this information for the umpteenth time into the only box that the website allowed me to and submitted it. Did they get it? I don't know because no one has EVER called me back. I am so frustrated with Groupon as is my boss and his wife who in the past ran * campaigns with Groupon for her permanent make up business.
