Go to the Payment Settings page of your online account. Choose Auto-Pay and select Payments. Choose a payment form. The payments section of your account settings will list automatic payments to merchants. Click on the relevant payment and choose Cancel Auto-Pay. Bank of America's automatic payment plan allows you to pay your bills on time automatically, so you won't have to worry about forgetting a payment. Although you may want to keep your service indefinitely, you may want to cancel it in the future.

Here are the steps to cancel an auto payment with Bank of America.

1. Sign In to Your Account

Go to your Bank of America account to cancel an auto payment that you previously scheduled. Click "Login." Add your password and username. You will get a prompt to go to the dashboard page. You can use the navigation bar on your account page to move between sections.

2. Go to Your Account Dashboard

Visit your account page, click My Account and select Billing. If you forget which auto payment you set up or if you have created multiple accounts for a particular biller, select the menu to search for a specific bill.

3. Locate Auto Payment

Choose My Payments in the Accounts Services to go directly to that page. You can view all your payments here. If you know what payment to cancel, choose it. If not, scroll through your transactions until you find the one you need.

Type names in the "Find" field to search for recipients. Go to Settings, then scroll down and select Cancel Auto Pay. Choose Submit to complete the auto payment cancellation.

4. Select OK to Confirm

When choosing to confirm the cancellation, a page will appear where you need to enter your username and password. This will take you to a new page where you can click the button that says "Confirm."

Enter your information in the form and click "Submit" to complete the confirmation. Bank of America will email confirmation.
