If there's one thing a lot of people don't always like, it's getting trapped into a cellular phone contract. Luckily, there are more affordable options available. These prepaid mobile plans often use the same cell towers as the big brands but they offer plans for any budget. In some cases, you can pay for the latest plan in monthly installments. Simple Mobile is one such prepaid mobile service.

Unlimited Plan Breakdown

Simple Mobile offers multiple unlimited plan options, all ranging in price, from $25 for 3 GB all the way up to $40 for 15 GB. It even offers two plans that offer unlimited video streaming up to 480p. The biggest Truly Unlimited Plan costs about $60 for unlimited talk and text and is the only plan to include any cloud storage, 50 GB.

However, each unlimited plan includes unlimited talk, text, and international text, with international calling up to 20 different international numbers. You also get hotspot capabilities and unlimited data with each plan. International roaming is also offered only to 16 countries in Latin America. There is also a monthly international calling credit available.

Simple Mobile vs Other Carriers

As you can see, Simple Mobile starts low at $25. What about the lowest for some of the other names in prepaid mobile? What do you get with them and what is the price? AT&T lowest plan for 5 GB starts at $30, so not higher by much. T-Mobile offers a 5 GB plan for $25 but there's no international talk or text. Verizon offers an unlimited plan for $45 but data is limited to 15 GB. The only other providers that offer unlimited data are T-Mobile and Sprint, and they are $50 and $60, respectively, and don't include the cost of the phone. So far, Simple Mobile has more needs covered in case you need them, and they are one of the least pricey options.
