What You'll Need

If you are late with a single payment, Metro by T-Mobile will suspend your aervice until you make the payment. If you miss two payments in a row, Metro by T-Mobile will disconnect your service. You are not guaranteed to get the same phone number even if you get it turned back on quickly.Luckily, Metro by T-Mobile does not charge a late fee.

An extension is not the same as a payment arrangement. It just gives you a few extra pays to pay in full, it does not allow you to split the past due amopunt into multiple payments.
Metro by T-Mobile used to have a policy of automatically granting 72 hour payment extensions in most cases. That policy has since been canceled, though. A Metro by T-Mobile customer service representative may, at their discretion, choose to help you out, depending on your payment history, though.
It is important to call customer service as soon after the first payment is missed. If you are lucky, you may get your account reactivated for a day or two while to gather money for the payment. If you wait until you have missed a second payment, your account will be disconnected and an extension will no longer be possible at all.
If you want to try talking about an extension in person at a Metro by T-Mobile store, continue on with the next step.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for Metro by T-Mobile Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
