What You'll Need

If you need to use your phone before Metro by T-Mobile's wireless service has been restored, you can always try to use wi-fi calling. When you use your phone's wi-fi connection to make calls, you don't need to rely on the company's wireless service. Activate the wi-fi calling feature from the Settings page. However, wi-fi calling uses your phone's data, so you can only use wi-fi calling if you haven't reached your monthly data limit yet.


When you call customer service, it would be a good idea to have your account number on hand.

Go to the Metro by T-Mobile home page and click on the My Account button in the upper right corner of the page.

Click on Log In and log in to your account.

Check to see if your account has been suspended.

If you are late on a payment, Metro by T-Mobile will suspend your account. If your account has been suspended, you will need to pay the past due amount to get your service going again.

Check the Metro by T-Mobile coverage map, to make sure you are in a covered area.

Check that your phone is not in Airplane mode.

Check that W-Fi calling is not enabled.

If it is enabled, your phone isn't even trying to use Metro by T-Mobile's wireless service, so the problem is probably with your wi-fi connection.

Reboot your phone.

Some hidden process could be holding your phone up so you can't use it. Rebooting your phone will fix it if this is the case.

If none of the above steps restored service, call a Metro by T-Mobile customer service representative and report the problem.

If you cannot use another phone, you can always report the outage to an employee at a Metro-by-T-Mobile store. Use the locator to find one

Go to the nearest store and tell somebody there about the service outage in your area.

Conclusion

Remember, if you try to call a Metro by T-Mobile customer service representative, you can call any time from 4:00 am to 12:00 am PST, any day of the week. Once you have notified them of the outage, they will diagnose the problem and fix it as quickly as possible. Your service could be restored within minutes to hours.
