MetroPCS customers can move their service to a new address in a few different ways. If they don't want to complete this process on their own, they can call customer service and update their new address. However, customers can also update their address on their own through the My Metro or My T-Mobile app. Simply updating their billing address also updates their E911 address for emergency services as well. Also, customers can simply update their address with USPS and the update will be made automatically with MetroPCS.
Most of us have moved before. However, moving doesn't usually mean that we want to change everything. Most of us want our wireless service to travel with us, wherever we decide to go. Luckily, it isn't difficult to change/update your address with your T-Mobile/MetroPCS provider so that your service follows you wherever you go.
The USPS and MetroPCS Primary Account Holders
Before you can move your address with MetroPCS you must have the authority to do so. In other words, this is an action that must be completed by the primary account holder or someone who has been given these privileges. However, you may not need to do anything more than change your address through the United States Parcel Service to update with MetroPCS. USPS informs MetroPCS of address changes. However, the change process will be different depending on your payment methods. If you are a prepaid account holder you will need to follow different steps from a postpaid account holder. Prepaid accountholders can change their address through the My T-mobile/MetroPCS app by accessing your profile and your billing address. Postpaid members will need to log into their account and follow the prompts to change their address.
Update Your Address through the MetroPCS App
You can update your address via the MyMetro app. Simply log into your account using this app and change your address. You can also update your address by selecting the My Account option. Both options will allow you to change your billing address which is important for accessing emergency services. This will allow emergency services to find you. It's important to ensure that both your address and your E911 address is updated. An address update is also important when it comes to WiFi calling. However, it should be noted that changing your billing address will also change your E911 address.
Call Customer Service
If you don't want to update your address on your own, you can always call MetroPCS customer service directly. You'll need your eight-digit pin or the answer to your security question, however. Customer service can make update your new address and update these changes on your account. It's a good idea to verify that your E911 address has been updated as well. However, changing your billing address will automatically update your E911 address.
