Dear Kohls:**I have been buying and using my credit card with Kohls for many years. I was recently out of town and missed making two Kohls payment for the first time ever. The payment was due on August * and by September * you had reported me to the credit agencies and caused my credit rating to take a big negative hit.**I’m emailing to ask you to remove the bad notice to the credit agencies.**I have been a customer of Kohls for years. I have been very loyal to Kohls and I have brought many of people into your stores and created many, many sales and credit card holders for you with my enthusiasm and love of Kohls. I told all who would listen how wonderful Kohls was. **There has to be some protocol to reverse a bad credit card rating when a good customer, with a great payment history with Kohls, may warrant it. Nordstroms and other department stores are willing to do reverse negative credit reports on a one time basis. **We all make mistakes occasionally. I love Kohls and want to continue being a customer but I don’t see how I can ever shop at Kohl’s again if this is how you think a good customer should be treated. Severally harming a customer’s credit rating over ONE missed payment makes it pretty much impossible for someone to continue doing business with you. **I paid the balance in full plus late fess, but your punishment does not fit the crime. I understand that Kohl needs to be paid for it’s products and services but harming and alienating great customers towards that goal is just bad business and harmful to Kohls.**Please do not destroy our business relationship over one late payment. I want to continue to love Kohls and speak well of them but if being a great customers, who made one mistake, means a ** point drop in my credit rating then there is no way I could ever feel good about buying from Kohls again. No one buys from a company that has severally hurt them over a minor infraction as these negative credit ratings last for * years!**I thank you in appreciation of your doing “the right thing”. What I love about Kohls is it has always seemed to be an intelligent, customer service forward company.
