Chris from IKEA put me on hold to speak with someone from the returns department to have them pick up the damaged merchandise. After waiting on hold for LITERALLY an HOUR, the line just goes dead. You've got to be kidding me. I am no further ahead. ... My order of candles for my daughters upcoming wedding came via FedEx today and the box was annihilated. Many of the candles are broken completely in half and almost all of them are dented. I have taken pictures. This is only part of the order and has taken a long time to get here as it is. The wedding is September *st and I am concerned we will not have quality candles by then. I am including all the info from the packing*shipping label that was enclosed in the shipment. There was no indication on the box that this parcel should have been fragile. I have no extra time to sit on the phone for an hour and then end up with no results!
It is evident that the company needs to hire more phone employees. And I don't want to hear no BS story about "that's how we keep our costs down." No, that's how you contribute to all the anger issues in the world today. Seriously, an hour wait time. How the H do you stay in business.
I have just ordered $*** worth of candles from your company and would like to use IKEA in the future but...
I have responded via email and have sat on the phone (again, for an hour!). Short of driving to the nearest IKEA which is * hours away with my damaged order, not sure what else I can do.
