Groupon no longer offers phone support so you will need to contact them online. Sign in to the link about after clicking on "About an order" and then select the option to initiate a return or refund.
The issue in GetHuman-lightand's own words
I inadvertently purchased a Groupon Using the app. It is for $*** voucher for an Escape Room. However, it is for the wrong place, and when * contacted the facility I need to go to, they will not accept the Groupon. The website and app is very cumbersome when it comes to resolving issues. I sent a message via email because that is the only option I was given to contact customer service. They replied by offering me a chance to trade in the purchase, which I do not want because I am going to another business, and not do I want $*** worth of Groupon bucks to use in the future - especially after this experience. I would like my money back.
GetHuman-lightand did not yet indicate what Groupon should do to make this right.
