Verizon Mobile Protect includes unlimited claims and may offer $0 deductible cracked glass repairs for eligible devices. For other types of accidental damage, you may only need to pay a deductible, which is often significantly lower than paying the full repair or replacement cost without device protection.
Have you already enrolled your device in Verizon Mobile Protect? You can check your eligibility by signing in to your Verizon account or by clicking “Enroll.” Keep in mind that enrollment is only available within 30 days of activating a new line or device. You may also be able to enroll a device you bring to Verizon, but it generally must not already have defects or a cracked screen.
Once enrolled, you can file a claim to have your Verizon phone repaired or replaced, depending on the extent of the damage. To file a claim, proceed to the next step.
Verizon handles device repair and replacement claims through Asurion. Depending on the type and extent of the damage, you may be able to visit an authorized repair location to have your device fixed or mail the device to an approved repair center. To begin the process, click “Start or Track a Claim” and follow the on-screen instructions.
Asurion may ask several questions about your device and the damage to help determine the best resolution for your claim. Depending on your coverage and device condition, you may qualify for either a repair or a replacement device. Repaired devices may also come with a 12-month limited warranty. In some cases, Asurion may request additional documentation to process your claim successfully. If needed, proceed to the next step to upload the required documents.
Asurion may also ask you to upload supporting documents before processing a replacement or repair request. This can include photos showing signs of damage or receipts. Review the instructions carefully to ensure you're uploading the right documents and avoid delay.
To sign in, just click Upload documents and follow the prompts on the screen. Make sure the uploaded images or files are clear to avoid delays in processing your claim. After submitting the required documents, Asurion will review the information and contact you regarding the next steps for your repair or replacement request.
Were you able to file a claim for your Verizon device? Claims completed before 4 pm local time may qualify for same-day repairs or replacements for select devices. Verizon Mobile Protect also allows unlimited claims and may cover up to 20 lines on a single account, depending on your plan and eligibility. While Verizon Mobile Protect is one of the more comprehensive protection options, Verizon also offers other plans such as Total Equipment Coverage, Wireless Phone Protection, Mobile Secure, and Extended Warranty coverage. GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
