Few things are as frustrating and irritating as realizing that you left something important in your Uber only after watching the driver pull away. You may be able to get the item back, but it could take awhile, depending on how easy the driver is to get in contact with.
If you booked the Uber ride, you can contact the driver to ask whether they found your missing item. If you rode in the Uber but were not the one who booked the ride, you need to contact the person who did, because that's the person who has to contact the driver. Uber will charge a $15 lost item return fee to compensate the driver for the time spent locating your item and getting it back to you. Finally, all Uber drivers are independent contractors, and Uber is not responsible for any items you left in the vehicle. Uber does not guarantee that the driver has the item or that they will be able to get it back to you.
To contact your Uber driver to ask about your lost item, follow these instructions:
Remember that your driver has to take time out of their personal schedule to return your item to you, so be considerate about working out when and how this gets done.
If you need to contact Uber about your situation, you can reach an Uber customer service representative on the Uber help forum. There are no other contact options.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
After helping consumers for 10 years, we realized that you need an impartial, live person you can talk to about comparing the various TV, cable, Internet and phone plans in your area- somebody who can compare the best deals across telecom providers. So we created a free concierge service you can call at the phone number below.
