How Do I Transfer Funds to My SoFi Account?
If you have any kind of SoFi account, you need to know how to transfer money into it. You first have to link your bank account with your SoFi account. You can then easily initiate online transfers from the account page. You can also fund a SoFi Invest account with a wire transfer.
SoFi not only offers online banking services, it also offers several investment and other financial services. So if you have or are thinking about getting a SoFi account, you need to know how to transfer money into it.
Linking to Your Bank Account
If you want to transfer money to a SoFi account, you need to link it with your bank account first. The procedure is a little different depending on whether you have a SoFi Invest account or a SoFi Checking or Savings account. Whatever account you have, after opening the SoFi app, you should go to your account page. Then, if you have an Invest account, take these steps:
- Tap on Add Cash.
- Tap on either From or To, it doesn't matter which.
- Tap on Add New Account. You will be taken to a SoFi partner site to complete the process.
- Tap on Continue.
- Locate your bank on the list or use the Search function.
- Select your bank.
- Provide the requested information and follow any further instruction you are given.
If you have a Checking or Savings account, follow these steps:
- Tap on Transfer,
- Tap on Transfer between Accounts.
- Tap on either To or From.
- Tap on Add an Account. You will be sent to a SoFi partner site.
- Tap on Get Started.
- Find your bank on the list.
- Select it.
- Enter the account information.
- Tap on Connect.
- Request a verification code.
- Enter the code.
- Tap on Submit.
- Tap on Next.
Transferring Money to Your Account
To transfer money into your SoFi account via online ACAT transfer, go to your account page and take the following steps:
- Select the Transfer option from your account management tools.
- Enter the amount to transfer.
- Tap on From.
- Select your linked bank account.
- Tap on To.
- Select the SoFi account you want to receive the funds.
- Submit the transfer.
Your account will be credited within three business days.
Wiring Money to Your SoFi Invest Account
You can also transfer money from either SoFi Invest account via wire transfer. Contact your bank and say that you want to make a wire transfer. Provide the bank with the following information:

111 West Monroe St., 9th Floor
Chicago, IL 60603
FBO: Apex Clearing Corp.
FCC information: Your name and the account number for your SoFi Invest account.
Your account will be credited within 2 business days.
SoFi does not accept international wire transfers or third-party wire transfers. All wire transfers must be sent in U.S. dollars.
