How Do I Reset My SoFi Password?

Sep 12, 2022

SoFi is the leading fintech company offering members a complete financial ecosystem. Members can access student loans, mortgages and personal loans with competitive interest rates and repayment terms. If you're having trouble logging into your SoFi account, the first thing to do is reset your password.

Go to the SoFi Password Reset Page

Sign in using the email address associated with your account and the password you used to create your account. To reset your password, go to the SoFi password reset page. Log in with your current email address and password.

Enter Your Email Address and Click Next

Enter your email address and click next. You'll receive an email with a link to reset your password, which you can use to log in and change from there.

Open the Email From SoFi

Click on the link in the email titled Reset Password Request. It will take you to a page where you can set a new password for your account and view your SoFi account information and personal details.

Authenticate With a Code

You can authenticate with a code sent to your phone or by using the security feature of Google Authenticator. Once you've entered that information and clicked Next, you should see a confirmation message on-screen and back to the Password Reset Page where it says: Reset Your SoFi Password.

Enter Your New Password

Follow the on-screen instructions to create your new password. Use a random set of numbers, and letters appear at first. Once you've completed this step, select Submit at the bottom of your browser window.

Be sure that your new passwords are strong. Use a combination of letters, numbers and symbols: at least eight characters long; not based on personal information like birthdays or names.

You Have Changed Your Password

As a security measure, you will receive a notification email when you have changed your password on SoFi, to ensure this change was from you and not someone else. Ensure to save the new password in a safe place.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for SoFi Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
