Like most hotel chains, Sheraton allows for cancellation of any reservation; however, it's important to know what their policy is before canceling your stay. What is Sheraton's cancellation policy? You can call Sheraton customer support here to learn more about reservations, and below is information on its cancellation policy.

Sheraton's Cancellation Policy

When making a reservation, you need to know that the cancellation policy is in case your plans change or fall through. You can find out the policy for your particular room rate by clicking the link marked "Rate Details" on the reservation page. This outlines the particular cancellation window for that rate, as well as outlines penalties (if any) you may face when canceling.

Prepaid

Prepaid rooms are typically nonrefundable; however, Sheraton does allow you to cancel a prepaid room within 24 hours of making the reservation to avoid a charge. Simply put, if you make your reservation on January 1, you have until January 2 to cancel and get a refund. Any cancellations after that window means you forfeit the prepaid amount. When making a cancellation outside the non-penalty window, you can call Sheraton customer support here to see if a refund is possible. Emergencies happen, and Sheraton may be able to work with you to reschedule your stay or provide a refund.

Standard Rate and Deals and Packages

Standard rate rooms can be canceled up to three days prior to arrival without penalties. Rooms canceled after the cancellation window has closed will be subject to a penalty of one night's stay plus taxes and fees. This policy also applies to most deals and packages bookings (which can include things such as parking, hotel restaurant and bar packages and other extra amenities).

Sheraton has worked to make their cancellation policy easy to understand and use. To avoid penalties or fees, it is important to note the cancel by date listed in the rate details when you book your room. This gives you the exact date and time a reservation can be cancelled before you are assessed a charge.
