File a Claim

Is your SafeLink phone still under warranty? You may not need to have your phone repaired if you're eligible for a replacement. Please note that the warranty only covers manufacturer defects and doesn't cover accidental damage or scratches. Water damage may also void the warranty.

To file a claim, you'll need to sign in to your account using your email address or username and password. Once logged in, look for your order and click Return. Then, follow the on-screen instructions provided by SafeLink Wireless. After submitting your request, wait for a confirmation email from SafeLink Wireless. SafeLink will send you an RMA number, which you'll need to write on the return package.

Send the Package to SafeLink

As soon as you receive your RMA number, make sure to include it with your return package. Before sending the phone back, reset the device and remove the passcode. Otherwise, SafeLink may return the device to you, which could delay your claim. Don't include airtime cards or SIM cards with your return. However, you also need to mail all the accessories included with your phone. Also, please note that you may be responsible for the shipping costs when returning a cracked or broken SafeLink phone.

Please wait for SafeLink to get back to you regarding your request. Replacement requests may take 5–15 business days to process. If your phone is no longer under warranty, you can either take it to a trusted repair technician or purchase a new phone. SafeLink also offers discounted phones to its customers.

Take Your Phone to a Service Center

If your broken phone is no longer covered by a warranty and you can't afford a replacement yet, another option is to have it repaired by a trusted technician. The technician can inspect your phone and determine the extent of the damage. If possible, visit an authorized service center and ask for an estimate of the repair cost to avoid surprises and other unexpected costs.

Conclusion

Were you able to fix your cracked or broken phone? Before taking it to a technician, check your warranty first. Are you still covered? You may be eligible for a replacement. To request one, file a claim and return the phone and its accessories to SafeLink. They will inspect the device and determine whether you qualify for a replacement. SafeLink will then send you a working phone if your claim is approved. If your phone is no longer under warranty, you can have it repaired at a service center near you. Do you still have questions? Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for SafeLink Wireless Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
