Sending Someone a Postmates Gift Card

Uber owns Postmates, and Uber gift cards can also be used for Postmates orders. There are two main ways to send someone a Postmates/Uber gift card: electronically (email) or a classic card (regular mail).

Electronic Gift Cards

To send someone an electronic Postmates gift card, follow the steps below:

  1. Open Postmates on your phone, tablet or computer and log into your account.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Buy Gift Cards."
  3. Pick the card design you want.
  4. Set the card's value.
  5. Check the circle beside "Send by email" to send an electronic card.
  6. Type the recipient's name and email address.
  7. Add a personalized message.
  8. Enter your name and email.
  9. Set the delivery date.
  10. Click "Add to cart."
  11. Enter the payment details.
  12. Read and agree to the terms and conditions.
  13. Click "Confirm purchase."

The gift card will be delivered in a few minutes to the person's email address, and they can use it immediately when they receive it.

Regular Mail Gift Cards

Some people still prefer the traditional classic gift card, and to send one to a friend or family member, follow these steps:

  1. Open Postmates on your phone, tablet or computer and log into your account.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Buy Gift Cards."
  3. Pick the card design you want.
  4. Set the card's value.
  5. Check the circle beside "Send by mail" to send a classic card.
  6. Enter the recipient's name.

Classic gift cards will be sent via mail and can take a few days to reach the recipient. The card amount can be applied to the person's account as soon as they receive it.
