However, if Lyft can't match you with a driver and you see a charge, the amount may appear as a refund within 5-7 business days. Lyft never charges you with a pending transaction as the temporary authorization to charge you with the amount disappears when your ride is canceled. You may be a charged a cancellation fee when you cancel 30 seconds after the driver has accepted the ride or when the driver has arrived. Also, there may be a cancellation fee when you cancel three or more rides within a 15-minute timeframe. There's also a no-show fee when the driver has already arrived. The fee is used to compensate the driver for the gas and their time. You can dispute a fee if you think you're wrongly charged. The first step is to sign in to your account first.
