Facebook has billions of users so it is no surprise that the site experiences issues from time to time. The company has so many pages to manage which takes a tremendous effort.

One of the issues that you will encounter with your Facebook business page is failure to load. The most common among issues faced by Facebook users is the homepage not loading.

You will be met by runtime error messages, partially loaded content or a blank screen. The following are common reasons why your Facebook business page might not be loading and how to remedy them:

JavaScript Disabled

Facebook states that one of the reasons that a page will not load is that JavaScript settings are disabled in your browser. It will often result in an empty or blank screen.

You can fix the issue depending on which browser you are using. For Google Chrome, use the following procedure:

1. Open Google Chrome.

2. Click the tree dot icon at the top right corner of the browser to access the toolbar menu and then click 'Settings.'

3. Scroll to the bottom and click 'Advanced Settings.'

4. Select the 'Privacy' part and then click 'Content Settings.'

5. Check if the bubble next to 'Allow all sites to run JavaScript' is marked. If not, check it.

6. You can click 'Manage Extensions' if you want a JavaScript to be used specifically for Facebook.

The procedure for Firefox is as follows:

1. Open Mozilla Firefox.

2. Type 'about:config' in the address bar and then click 'Enter.'

3. When prompted, click 'I'll be careful, I promise.'

4. Type 'javascript.enabled' in the search bar. When you find the javascript string, right click to enable it.

5. You can also install add-ons that will help you manage your Javascript settings on Firefox like QuickJava and No-Script.

To change the Javascript settings on Internet Explorer, follow these steps:

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. Click 'Tools' to see the menu.

3. Click 'Internet Options' and then click the 'Security' tab.

4. Click on 'Internet Zone.'

5. Click 'Default Level' and then go back a page.

6. Refresh the browser on this page and Javascript will start running.

Using HTTPS Instead of HTTP

Another reason why your Facebook business page might not be loading is because secure browsing is not available for the entire site. A good example is that secure browsing may not be enabled for various Facebook applications.

You will have to enable secure browsing for Facebook. You can do so by first typing https instead of http followed by Facebook.com when using the site. You will then follow the following procedure:

1. Click the 'Account' Menu located to the top right of your homepage.

2. Select 'Account Settings.'

3. Click 'Change' below 'Account Security.'

4. Uncheck "Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) whenever possible.

5. Click "Save" and close the page.

6. Reopen your browser and go to Facebook.com.

Using an Outdated Browser

Another reason why your Facebook business page might not be loading is that you have not updated the settings on your browser lately. There are new updates coming out almost every week that fix various issues so you need to update your browser.

Using an outdated browser will lead to issues on many sites. You can simply uninstall your current browser and then redownload the latest version.

Too Much Browsing Data

It may also be the case that you need to clear your browsing data for certain sites to load correctly. The data will cause many sites to load as obsolete data becomes too much for it to handle.

You should clear your browsing data depending on your browser.

If you have any issues after trying the solutions above, you should contact Facebook customer service.
