Changing Your Photo

The process of changing your photo, as stated above depends on whether you are a driver or a passenger.

For Passengers

The profile picture on a passenger's Lyft profile is what the driver uses to identify them when picking them up for a ride. It helps significantly if the picture can be as realistic as possible.

If you signed up for your Lyft account using Facebook, your Lyft profile picture will automatically be the same as your Facebook profile picture. If you only used your phone number to create your account, there will either be no profile picture or the one you selected use.

As a passenger, whether you signed up for your account using Facebook or your phone number, the process of changing your photo is as follows:

1. Launch the app and tap the menu icon in the top left corner of the app's home screen.

2. Tap 'View profile.'

3. Tap the purple camera icon next to your profile picture.

4. Take a new photo or select a saved photo by tapping 'Choose from library or gallery.'

5. If you take a new profile photo, tap the camera in the bottom right. Tap the check mark.

6. If selecting a stored photo, tap the photo you desire then tap save in the top right corner.

You will have officially changed your Lyft profile picture. Log out of the app and then log in again to confirm the change.

For Drivers

On the other hand, a driver's profile picture is how passengers identify him or her when they are picked up for a ride. The more accurate the photo, the more trustworthy your profile and the more comfortable your passengers are.

The process of changing your Lyft profile photo as a driver is as follows:

1. Launch the Lyft app.

2. Log in to your driver dashboard if you are not already.

3. Choose 'Driver Info.'

4. Tap your profile or driver photo.

5. Drag the image you want to become your profile photo to the space or select 'browse' to upload the new photo from your gallery.

6. Scrutinize the photo requirements, then check the box next to 'I have read the requirements.'

7. Tap 'Update.'

Your photo will be successfully changed. You should log off and then log in to confirm the change.
