What It's Like to Call AT&T Phone Number 210-821-4105

Dec 20, 2023

Some of my U-verse channels aren't coming in clear. They seem to have a lot of static and other times they have lines moving through them like television back in the old days. Neither of these things make sense because U-verse is fiber optic and I shouldn't be having issues like these. Sometimes they also blink in and out or lack audio, which is equally annoying. It's the same two channels, so I'm not sure if U-verse is experiencing an issue with these channels or if it's a problem with my connection.

I figured the best way to get to the bottom of the issue was by calling AT&T to talk to someone at customer support. I know that AT&T has a lot of different departments since they offer television, landlines, Internet, and cellular service. But, if it fixed my TV then I figured it was worth the wait. After all, with the amount I pay for my bundle, I should be able to watch my TV without problems. The process actually didn't take too long, but I did have to deal with a few issues along the way.

To start, this number doesn't work. I attempted to call twice, and both times a recorded message told me to check the number and try my call again. I went online and searched, "Technical support for AT&T U-verse," and found this number, 1-800-288-2020, which worked on the first try.

When I called, an automated voice asked  me to, "Please say what you are calling about." I responded that I needed, "Help with U-verse technical support," and it asked me to, "Please tell me more about what type of problem you are having." It took a second to think of what to say, but I ended up just going with, "Some of my channels are fuzzy."

It then asked me what type of TV product I was calling about, U-verse, Direct-TV, or Satellite. This seemed a bit unnecessary since I had already said I needed U-verse support, but I said it to get past the step and then answered that I was calling about a personal account and not a business account.

Then it told me, "Hold on a minute while I handle your request." I had to listen to AT&T tones for about 30 seconds, and it said, "One moment while I get an agent to help you." The phone rang a couple of times before Sarah picked up the phone. She was very chatty and friendly and gave me some troubleshooting suggestions that seemed to help the issue for now. We will see how long it fixes the issue!
