How GetHuman-knagrega fixed the problem
I never stop following up for a refund to agoda support. I wasnt able to get a refund but I was given an option by host to reschedule our stay. Somehow Im thankful, coz at some point I could consume the payment charged to my CC but not on the day that we prefer. It happened because the host doesnt want me to have free cancellation though the host was the first one who cancel the booking. I suggest that agoda should notify their clients via email when host cancelled their booking. Currently, what they modify is the agoda application wherein you'll hardly find the indication that the host cancelled. I saw it when there's a Refund value on my booking then didnt realize that it was already cancelled as there's no notification via app or email. So when I cancelled it and I could still cancel it anyway bec they still show the cancel booking option, Ive been charged of cancelation fee even I selected the reason that the host cancelled though I really know the cancellation policy but the fact that you urgently need a room for a family event you will try everything to cancel, get refund and rebook another. Agoda is dependent on host decision in giving free Cancellation. It should not be, especially if you have a proof chat from host that your booking will be cancelled. I thank agoda for convincing the host to give me booking confirmation on the rescheduled date though they werent able to convince host for a free Cancellation.
