How to Sign Up for New Service with Verizon Wireless
You can sign up for a new service with Verizon Wireless online or in person.
Online
You can sign up for a new service with Verizon Wireless online by completing the following steps:
- Open Verizon Wireless in your web browser.
- Click on "Shop" at the top of the screen.
- Select "Plans" to see all the wireless plans Verizon offers.
- Choose "Unlimited" or "Prepaid" depending on your needs. (The remainder of this list will deal with unlimited plans).
- In the middle of the page, click "Start with Plans" to start building your Verizon Wireless plan.
- Select "New Customer" to sign up for a new service.
- Enter your zip code and click "Next."
- Review the plans that appear on the screen and choose the one that best suits your needs.
- Review the extras that can be added to your plan and either choose one or select "No thanks, maybe later" at the bottom of the screen.
- Repeat Steps 8 and 9 for all the lines in your plan.
- You will see a preview of what you have in your cart so far. At the bottom of the screen, click on "Shop Devices" or "Bring My Own Device."
- Select from the list of available devices sold by Verizon or enter the information about your device.
- Accept or decline device protection.
- Repeat steps 11 through 13 for each line in your new account.
- Select "Go to Cart."
- Follow the prompts on your screen to complete the secure payment, add your contact information and start your plan.
In Person Purchase
You can also go to a Verizon Wireless retail location and purchase a new phone and plan. The sales representative will be able to help you pick out a plan and device that meets your needs, set up your new plan and activate your new device on site.
