Go to your Billing and see if you have an overdue balance. The Optimum policy is that late or missed payments can cause interruption of service.
If you have an overdue payment, make the payment immediately. After the payment, it can take several hours (or a few days) for your service to be activated again.
If you think you're having a technical issue that is fairly common or a quick fix, you can choose to check out the Optimum Help Desk before contacting customer support. The Optimum Help Desk includes a Customer FAQ, a forum, and an online help desk.
If there is no reported outage, you can contact the Optimum Customer Support team via phone for assistance. Note the team is available Monday to Fridays 8:00 am to 1:00 am, Saturdays 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, and Sundays 8:00 am to 10:00 pm EST.
If there is no reported outage, you can contact the Optimum Customer Support team via live chat for assistance. You will be asked to fill out a form with your first and last name, your email address, and the phone number on your account. Under 'Chat Request Type,' you can choose the option that is most relevant to you. The three options are Account/Billing Inquiry, Internet/Voice Inquiry, and TV/Video Inquiry. You will be asked to enter your question, click 'Submit Request,' and you will be connected to a customer support agent.
Note when you're speaking to a live chat agent, you're never expected to share sensitive data such as your social security numbers, credit or debit card information, or other types of banking information. The information provided in the above-mentioned form should be enough to identify you as the user of your account.
If you prefer to speak to someone in person, you can visit your local Optimum store for assistance. You can find the store that is closest to your location here by inserting your zip code.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Optimum in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our How Do I Get Technical Support from Optimum? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
