An important reminder: Your primary contact is different from the Primary user on your Spectrum account. The primary contact information includes your email address or phone number that Spectrum uses to send verification codes or important account updates. The Primary user, on the other hand, is the person responsible for managing users or certain account settings. If you need to change the account holder or Primary user, changing the primary contact information won't accomplish this. You may need to contact Support if you wish to transfer ownership.
Were you able to update your primary contact information with Spectrum? Keep in mind that Spectrum may send a verification code to your new contact info to confirm the change. If you can't update your information because you no longer have access to the phone number or email address associated with your account, contact Spectrum for assistance. Once you've updated your primary contact information, review your notification settings to make sure you're set to receive important account and service updates. If you have further questions about updating your contact information, contact Customer Support for additional assistance.

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
