What are the hours and when should I call?

Prometric operates the call center for this 800-775-3926 phone number 24 hours, 7 days. The short answer is that you should call on a Thursday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 919 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).

Automatically call when they open

When you use our free AI-powered phone to call and talk, wait on hold, or navigate for you, it will automatically wait until the Prometric call center opens before trying to call. It will ask your permission before it places the call, so you can also further delay that scheduled call until you are ready. But that means you can "set it and forget it" ahead of time.
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Prometric phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Prometric staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Prometric is Sunday. The most busy day to call is Monday, which averages 691% more phone calls by comparison. Again, this is based on a sample of 919 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

In summation, the best day to call Prometric is Thursday.

Calling this Prometric Customer Number

When you call the customer service line for Prometric, you're greeted by an automated message system. The opening message is honestly quite extensive and goes into the company's collection and processing of data. They say this is done on behalf of clients and is functionally and pragmatically necessary.

After stating all of this, the message system says customer privacy is taken very seriously by Prometric, and those who wish to learn more about the company's full privacy policy can do so by accessing the document via their website.

I've never called a company's customer service line and been greeted by a message like this; it immediately made me suspicious of Prometric's history of data handling and consumer privacy. As a result, I went online to search why such an immediate, lengthy, and detailed disclaimer is necessary, and found my answer in a number of alarming controversies dating back to 2009. The company's history of mismanagement and seeming lack of accountability is alarming. As a regular person trying to call their customer support, I'm immediately cautious and distrusting.

After the lengthy privacy disclaimer, the message system says by staying on the line you are agreeing to the privacy policy, then you're presented with two options: press 1 to hear the company's privacy message, or press 2 to bypass. (I'm confused, didn't I just hear a privacy message? Is there more? Should I be concerned?)

I pressed 2, hoping to reach a standard phone menu. Individuals who need disability-related accommodations are told to press 2 (while being reminded in a patronizing way they will need proof); otherwise, stay on the line and you will be connected to a representative.

That's as far as I got, as I don't personally feel comfortable agreeing to Prometric's privacy policy given the company's history of mismanagement; I'd rather find the assistance and answers I'm looking for by searching online. At least I know callers are actually able to reach a representative if needed.
