I have been using Instagram for two years. Six months ago, I shared my password with a friend, who added their email and phone as the recovery information. Even though I have my email and number in the personal details section and set up two-factor verification, my friend can still access my account using the recovery email and phone. Can you please advise me how to remove or change the recovery email and phone number? Your prompt response is appreciated.

I was contacted by a girl a few months back to help reset her Instagram password. Little did I know, she ended up hacking my account and setting it up identically. Now, even with a password reset, I can't access my account without the authentication code. I've tried every possible way to recover it, including taking a picture, but Instagram still won't grant me access.

Recently, private images of my friend were exposed online by someone she used to know. All her pages, including Snapchat and Facebook, were hacked. The person who did this is (iits.ariiii) on Instagram. My friend's Instagram page, which used to be open, is now private. Initially, she had 34 posts, but now there are 39, and I am concerned about the additional 5 posts. Given her significant number of followers, I fear these posts may be harmful. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could monitor that account to ensure that my friend is not being targeted. Our company has an Instagram account that was previously managed by a former employee who left under negative circumstances. It appears that she may have altered the account's email and password. We are now looking to regain access to the account, but we are unsure about the email linked to it, only knowing the domain. We do possess the account name and have identified pictures featuring a current employee. As we are unable to reach Instagram for support, we are seeking guidance on how to recover the account. We recently fell victim to a phishing attack through Meta Business, leading to our account being compromised and an attempted ransom demand for its recovery. It all started when we submitted a verification badge request through Meta Business, thinking it was an official procedure. Subsequently, we received an email confirming that our Instagram account had been verified and was eligible for verification. The email contained a link to a site that seemed legitimate but turned out to be a fraudulent platform. Much to our surprise, this action opened the door to malicious intrusion into our account. Since this is a professional account, we did not immediately notice the suspicious activity. The person responsible altered the phone number associated with the account by adding a digit to the end of the real number. This allowed the attacker to take full control of our account. Overnight, we received a message via WhatsApp from the attacker demanding a ransom in exchange for the return of our account. We took immediate steps to recover our account. We completed the available recovery forms on the platform, including video selfie verification to prove our legitimate identity. Unfortunately, despite our efforts, we were unable to regain access to our account. As a business, our Instagram account is crucial to our online presence, branding, and commercial activities. We heavily invest in this platform, and losing this account would have a significant financial and reputational impact on our company. Thank you for your assistance.

Following this, I promptly logged out of my account. The hacker is currently reaching out to my friends, encouraging them to invest in Bitcoin. I kindly urge you to address this issue promptly. I am unable to access my account as I have forgotten my password. Even though my Instagram account number is the same, I am unable to reset my password or receive recovery emails. Our theatre company's Instagram linked to the email [redacted] vanished unexpectedly. We tend to use it only during theatre projects, so it's inactive at times. I can't recover the password as it claims no account is linked to that email. However, when I try to create a new account with the same email, it says one exists already. Any help is appreciated.

Hello, my partner's Instagram account was stolen. Here is the issue: My account a_pentylo was hacked, probably overnight on July 29th or 30th, [redacted]. Scammers tricked me into revealing access passwords through my email at [redacted] The account name was a_pentylo and it was changed to a13a_pentylo, with the avatar altered. Since the account was registered over 3 years ago, I do not exactly recall which email it was registered to, but most likely it was [redacted] from which I am currently writing and receiving their emails, used to extract my passwords. I usually accessed it from my phone using the LG V30 app, with two SIM cards with the numbers +[redacted]86 and +[redacted]7. The account is dedicated to my profession as a hairstylist, featuring photos of my work with my photo as the avatar. I can provide original photos, live or pre-recorded selfie videos, chat screenshots where passwords were obtained, or any other required proof. Please help me recover my account, Andrey Pentilo.

I have this old Instagram account that I used to keep active when I was around 12 or 13 years old. Now that I'm 17, I really want to delete that account. Unfortunately, I've lost access to my password, and the email linked to the account was deleted by the company due to inactivity exceeding 2 years. Consequently, I'm unable to utilize the "help" link to recover the account and ultimately delete it for good. The old account username is emy_loup.

Good afternoon, I am the owner of the IGI66 account. I apologize for violating the rules of Instagram. Following a previous ban, I refrained from writing much, and when I did, I made an effort to keep it positive. Despite receiving a warning for one comment, I was then immediately banned. I didn't realize I was in violation, especially since I've seen similar comments posted by other users frequently. I now understand that it's best to refrain from commenting and focus on sharing photos with friends. I sincerely regret breaking the rules and respectfully request the unblocking of my account. It's not a commercial account, but rather a collection of my memories throughout the years. I may choose not to leave comments in the future to avoid risking my account.

Regarding accessing my Instagram account: I recently had to send away my phone that had my 2FA app on it, leading to difficulties in receiving the code when trying to log in on a temporary device. Subsequently, when I received a refurbished phone as a replacement, both devices are unrecognized by Instagram, preventing me from resetting my password via email or text. I made multiple attempts to verify my identity through a video, but I have not heard back from Instagram in the past three weeks. Three years ago, my Instagram account was stolen. I have been desperately trying to recover it since then.
