I have been using Instagram for two years. Six months ago, I shared my password with a friend, who added their email and phone as the recovery information. Even though I have my email and number in the personal details section and set up two-factor verification, my friend can still access my account using the recovery email and phone. We completed the available recovery forms on the platform, including video selfie verification to prove our legitimate identity. Unfortunately, despite our efforts, we were unable to regain access to our account. As a business, our Instagram account is crucial to our online presence, branding, and commercial activities.
