Hello, I hope you are well. I am reaching out because yesterday at 8 pm CAT on 08/09/21, my account was hacked. The hacker changed both my email and phone number, leaving me unable to access my account. The username @sick_and_tirred is still in use. The original email address linked to the account, [redacted], was removed, but I still have access to it. Unfortunately, it is no longer associated with my account. I urgently need assistance in recovering this account as the hacker is using it to send spam messages through my direct messages and is even threatening me to send money in exchange for regaining access. The login activity occurred in Lagos, Nigeria, which is not where I am located. Your help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I would like a review of this error as I have not misrepresented anyone. Despite attempting to contact support for assistance, I have been unsuccessful. Following my email to Instagram, they mentioned my account violation of the Terms of Use. However, it is unclear whether this is a temporary or permanent disablement. If temporary, I request clarification on the duration of the suspension. I emphasize that I have never received any warnings and have not posted content infringing on anyone's rights. My posts mainly consist of selfies with no political content. I have maintained this account since around [redacted] without any prior issues. There seems to be a significant misunderstanding, possibly related to Instagram perceiving me as impersonating someone. Despite complying with their request for a face ID photo, my account was still disabled. The photo I submitted depicted me in a white hoodie without makeup, reflecting my usual appearance with a veil scarf, heavy makeup, green lenses, and filters applied in my pictures, altering my appearance. I am experiencing difficulty accessing my old email account that I created around 2[redacted]. Although I remember the password, I can no longer access the account as the phone number linked to it is no longer in use. Due to this, I cannot update the email address linked to my Instagram account, which is now locked because of multiple incorrect password attempts from two years ago when I was a fourth-year dental student. I am eager to retrieve photos and memories from my college life stored on that Instagram account, especially since the pandemic has transitioned my college experience to predominantly online classes. Hello! I need help as my Instagram is stuck in a loop. The issue started when I tried to add my email for security reasons. I received a confirmation email, but then immediately got another email falsely claiming I removed my email at 4 o’clock, though it wasn't even 4 yet. When I tried to confirm my email, it kept showing “Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again” after entering the security code. Clicking on the link from the second email led to the same problem. Now, the app just displays an error message and is stuck. I've attempted to log in on a regular browser with no success. This is incredibly frustrating, especially since I was trying to enhance security by adding my email.

I recently had my Instagram account hacked by someone in the USA, even though I live in England. I am currently unable to access my account, which is concerning as I had important contacts only reachable through that platform. Dealing with anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues, the support of my friends and contacts is crucial to me. It seems the hacker changed the email associated with the account and set up 2-step authentication, making it impossible for me to recover it. I noticed my Facebook was hacked first, which is linked to my Instagram. Is there a way for me to provide my old login information to regain access to my account, or what steps should I take next?

My Instagram account was hacked yesterday by scammers who are now using it to scam people. I've attempted to recover my account without success and haven't received any security emails from Instagram regarding unauthorized access. I urgently need this account deactivated as it's being misused to impersonate me and deceive others. Despite reporting the issue, the account is still active and causing harm. The hacker is sending messages pretending to be me, damaging my reputation. Efforts to regain control have failed, and the account continues to exploit people. My photos are being posted as if I am still managing it. I seek guidance on how to permanently deactivate this account.

A few years ago, I created an Instagram account linked to my Facebook account under the username @_winky. Recently, my Instagram was locked because of suspicious activity indicating an unauthorized login attempt. The email address associated with both my Facebook and Instagram accounts is w********@yahoo.com.hk, which I can still access. During the verification process, Instagram omitted the '.com' from my email address, attempting to send the code to an invalid email account w********@yahoo.hk. I am unable to access this email. Dear Support Team, I am experiencing issues logging into my Instagram account. An error message states: "Confirm your information in the app to return to your account. We've detected unusual activity in your account. Confirm your identity via the Instagram app to regain access to your account." I typically access my Instagram on a desktop computer. Despite trying a new password, I have been unsuccessful. I am unable to install the app on my mobile to troubleshoot from there. Additionally, I am having trouble logging into Creator Studio. Hello, my name is Alexandrea Boulden. I am having trouble accessing my account as I forgot my password. When I try to reset the password or receive a verification code, the six-digit number does not go to the correct phone number associated with my account. My original account was hacked after I was scammed in Kimberly, Georgia. Following that incident, I created a new account which I'm now unable to access. The email address and phone number linked to my old account were [redacted] and [redacted], respectively. I primarily used an iPhone for my account. The new username I am requesting a password reset for is selflove__sheabutterbaby. The previous hacked account, which I need assistance with, had the username selflove_sheabutterbaby and was compromised by someone from Kimberly, Georgia, yesterday at 2:20 pm on September 10th.

I decided to change the username of my second Instagram account where I post pictures. This account doesn't have many followers or likes. After the username change, I faced issues logging in and verifying my account. I attempted on desktop, and they mentioned a 24-hour review for verification. Now, upon trying to log in, it indicates a violation of community guidelines. I am unsure what the issue could be. My posts only include pictures of places and things from South Korea, no faces or bodies. The only possibility I can think of is sharing pictures of replica handbags, without any selling involved. I believe it's unfair to deactivate my account without a warning, especially compared to other accounts with nudity or violence warnings on Instagram. I need assistance as my account holds all my photos from living abroad. Switching from iPhone to Android means some photos are inaccessible as they are on different cloud services. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello, My Instagram account "oa_fotodesign" has not been functioning since yesterday. I keep getting a message saying that the account is under review and if everything is fine, I should regain access within 24 hours. Over the past few weeks, I've had to verify myself through my phone or video multiple times. Additionally, I have been feeling like I am not gaining genuine followers anymore. It seems like my direct messages are not reaching the recipients on the other end either! Overall, I have the impression that Instagram has "blocked" my account. However, I am not sure which guidelines I may have violated. I use the Creator Studio to post my content, which is from Facebook itself, so I assume this does not constitute a violation. I am reporting a fake account under the name of Anneee.Wong, but claiming to be Joyce Anne. The person behind this account pretended to be from Hong Kong but is actually from the Philippines. I unfortunately fell victim to blackmail after a video call with this individual. I suspect that they may be a guy posing as a girl online. They were clever enough to take screenshots of my friend list before I blocked them and used it to blackmail me through Kakaotalk. After not accessing Instagram for a few days, I attempted to log in and found myself logged out unexpectedly, which surprised me as I did not log out previously. Upon entering my account information, I received a message stating that my account was under review and I needed to wait for 24 hours. Subsequently, when trying to log back in, I discovered my account had been disabled due to violating Instagram's terms and conditions. This seems to indicate a potential hacking incident, as only I knew the password, and my friends reported unusual activity such as spamming DMs, comments, and posting strange content on my account's story. I followed the provided link to Instagram's help center and submitted necessary details like my real name, IG username, email, and appeal reason. Despite my efforts, I am yet to receive a response, leaving me uncertain if my appeal is being overlooked or if I simply need to await their reply. If there is a more direct way to reach Instagram, I would appreciate learning about it.

During that day, my account was disabled after I posted a trending reel on social media depicting a cow edited to look like it was licking a man's penis. My account was active until noon when I tried to update my profile photo with Jude Bellingham as my favorite player. Shortly after, when I attempted to log back in to Instagram, I was prompted with a message saying that I was identified as a robot and my account got disabled. I am confused as to why my account was disabled when other accounts with similar content were not. I would like Instagram to reinstate my account so I can log back in. Thank you.

I noticed that my account was logged in on two devices. I attempted to log out on one, but my account remained in the list. When I clicked on it, I was logged out on both and told my account was deleted due to suspected hacking. However, it was solely me on both devices. Despite reaching out to Instagram for months, I have received no response. I'm hoping to hear from them soon!

Our media company has a registered trademark, a website with .com and .net domains, a verified Facebook page, a YouTube channel, a verified Giphy account, and a Pinterest account. I am encountering two major problems. Firstly, when I try to fill out the verification form, it gets stuck loading and does not submit. I have attempted this multiple times over several months, even years. Secondly, my Facebook page is only partially connected and I am unable to link it completely. A couple of weeks ago, my Instagram account got deactivated because I shared an inappropriate video with a friend. I forgot that this violated the community guidelines, and I'm truly sorry. Even though it doesn't justify my actions, my friend requested the video during a call, leading me to share it, although I acknowledge my irresponsibility.
