I made a mistake by sharing my Instagram account password with someone who got hacked. Consequently, my account got hacked too. Now, when I try to log back in, the account shown is @andbsakj, which is non-functional with no posts, followers, or following count. I have tried recovering my password using my associated email or phone number, but when I receive the recovery link, it redirects me to another account's home page without letting me access mine. I am unsure of what steps to take next.

Hello, I need assistance. I recently clicked on a link from an Instagram friend who claimed it would help me gain more followers. After providing my username and password, my account was immediately closed. Now, the hacker is blackmailing me, demanding money from my followers under my name. They are also threatening me, saying I need to pay up before I can regain access to my account. Additionally, they are posting inappropriate pictures on my story to discredit me. I have some information about the individual, including their name, email, phone number, bank account details, and UPI code, which they are using for fraudulent activities. This persistent issue happens on both mobile and desktop platforms, while other accounts remain accessible. Attempts to resolve this included clearing cache and cookies, using different browsers, resetting the password, employing incognito mode, utilizing the account recovery link, and submitting a support ticket. Additionally, I tried logging in from various devices and networks. Noteworthy details are that this account is not associated with Facebook, is a business account with approximately [redacted] followers, is not linked to any third-party sites or apps, and remains searchable, indicating it is not deactivated.

Dear Instagram team, I am reaching out because my Instagram account @eshlauren was disabled after I reported it being hacked. Despite providing all necessary documents to prove my ownership, my account remains inaccessible. Following a hack on my Yahoo email account ([redacted]) on July 30, [redacted], the hacker also gained control of my Instagram account @eshlauren, changing associated email and phone number details. Despite my efforts to rectify the issue and report the violation due to someone using my account for a Bitcoin scam, my account is still disabled. I hope to regain access to my account @eshlauren, which was used on my iPhone and MacOS devices in Baltimore, Maryland. I remain hopeful that the situation will be addressed promptly. Thank you.

On July 29, [redacted], I registered an Instagram account under the username "hatright." Though I have seldom used it, my real name and phone number are associated with it. Recently, I received a message from Instagram Security informing me that a user called "briannaneyman" logged into my account from Russia using a Samsung device. Since this activity was unauthorized, I disavowed it, changed the password (which I generated randomly but failed to save), and now wish to have the account permanently deleted. I would like all linked user IDs and personal information, like my name and phone number, erased. If I decide to return to Instagram in the future, I would like to create a brand new account from scratch.

Hello, I have an old Instagram account that I urgently need to edit or delete due to outdated information associated with it. Unfortunately, I am unable to access the account because I no longer have access to the associated email account. While I remember the Instagram email/username and password, I am unable to verify my identity through the email as it has been deactivated for inactivity. I have attempted to recover access through Yahoo support, but have been unsuccessful. Yesterday (11/08/21), I posted a story at the pool, and this morning I shared a picture of me in the pool on my profile. I can see that about three quarters of the people who liked the photo. Today, my account is temporarily blocked because Instagram suspects there's a risk of "fraud" on my account. I've been on Instagram for 10 years without any issues before. I can't send a message using my old phone number or the old email "[redacted]". My new email linked to Facebook is [redacted] and my number is 06-24-52-28-17. I don't understand why Instagram is blocked while my Facebook is still accessible. I kindly request that you restore access to my account and the personal data that has been there for over 10 years. This account was created years ago using a friend's email address, which is now being controlled by the hacker who changed all the account details. The hacker even added a phone number to the account, making it impossible for me to reset the password as the verification link is sent to their number. However, after waiting for 30 days, I attempted to log in again, only to discover that my account had been disabled for alleged policy violations. The incident occurred shortly after I redirected some personal pictures to a friend's alternative Instagram profile, @mk.brandy, whom I trust. Following this, I received a security message indicating someone attempted to access my account.
