If you are a Verizon Wireless customer and your Verizon Wireless phone has been lost or stolen, here is a simple guide that explains how you can replace your device.

You are a Verizon Wireless customer because the company offers competitive rates and excellent services. However, your Verizon Wireless phone has recently been lost or stolen, and you would like to replace your device.

You can replace your device easily providing you have enrolled in one of the following device protection options: Verizon Protect, Verizon Protect Multi-Device, Total Mobile Protection, Total Equipment Coverage, or Wireless Phone Protection.

Here's how to file your replacement claim.

Suspend Your Device:

Once you are sure that your device is lost or has been stolen, you must suspend the device to prevent any unauthorized use.

You can suspend your device by logging into your Verizon Wireless account via the company's website.

Visit The Verizon Wireless Website:

Once you have suspended your device, navigate to the Verizon Wireless website homepage. Once you have found the homepage, you need to find the search.

The search bar is located at the top right-hand side of your screen above the main navigation bar. Select the search bar, enter 'replace a lost device,' and press the enter key.

After you have been transferred to the support page, select the "How to replace a lost, stolen or broken phone, tablet, or another device" option. You will then be transferred to the information page. Scroll down until you find the 'lost or stolen device' device heading.

File Your Replacement Claim:

Once you have read the information on the support page, you can proceed to apply for a replacement Verizon Wireless phone by clicking the 'file a claim hyperlink.'

The link will transfer you to the Asurion website. Enter the information requested to file your claim. Alternatively, you can ring Asurion on 1-888-881-2622.

You will only be able to file a claim through Asurion if you have registered for one of the aforementioned protection options.

If You Have Not Registered for a Protection Program:

If you decided not to protect your phone, but still require a device replacement, you can buy a certified pre-owned (CPO) replacement device, buy a new device at retail cost, or activate another device that you already own.

You can find the information explaining how to do so on the "How to replace a lost, stolen or broken phone, tablet, or another device" support page.

If This Doesn't Work:

If you have followed these steps carefully and checked that all of the information you have entered is correct, but are still unable to file your claim for a replacement Verizon Wireless phone, you may need to contact the customer service team. You can find the contact details for Verizon Wireless on the GetHuman website.
