PNC Bank allows customers to set up recurring bill payments through their accounts, but how do you set these payments? You can learn about account features by calling PNC Bank customer support. Below are steps to set up recurring bill payments with PNC Bank.

Setting Up Recurring Bill Pay Through PNC Bank

There are three ways you can set up recurring payments using your PNC Bank account: online PNC Bank account access, via telephone, or through the vendor.

Using Your PNC Bank Account

To set up recurring bills using your PNC Bank account, do the following:

  1. Log into your account on your computer or through the mobile app.
  2. Go to the account home page and select "Pay Bills"
  3. Choose "Add a Company or Person," then key in the name of the company where the bill generated.
  4. If the company is not already saved in the PNC Bank database, you will be prompted to fill in the information for the company such as address, phone number and account number. Once you add the company, you will get a confirmation message.
  5. Click "Manage My Bills."
  6. Tap on the company from the drop-down menu.
  7. Choose "Add an auto payment" from the options.
  8. Select the PNC Bank account from which payment will be drafted.
  9. Enter the monthly payment amount. For variable bills such as electric or water, you can set the amount for the highest bill you paid in the last 12 months; however, you should always double check these payments to make sure the entire balance is covered.
  10. Under "Payment Preferences" you can set the date the payment will be made, the frequency of payments, and the number of payments you wish to make.
  11. Set your email preferences.
  12. Click "Set Up Payments" to lock in recurring payments.

Recurring Payments Via Telephone

You can call PNC Bank customer support and set up recurring payments by providing the information on the account to the customer service representative.

Setting Recurring Payments Through the Vendor

The third option for setting recurring payments with your PNC Bank account is through the vendor by doing the following:

  1. Log into your account with the vendor online or via the mobile app.
  2. Navigate to the payments section in your account.
  3. Add your PNC Bank account information as the payment method for the bill.
  4. Set the date and frequency of payments using your PNC Bank account.
  5. Read the terms and conditions and confirm authorization to use your PNC Bank account to make automatic payments.

At any time, you have the option to cease recurring payments regardless of how you set them up. Payments that are already processing cannot be canceled, so if you do stop recurring payments make sure you do so before the payment starts processing.
