This article discusses how to return an item or items that you bought at Dell's Black Friday sale. Detailed instructions are provided for making the return. Dell's return policy is provided as well, with specific rules for what can and cannot be returned and special exceptions to the return policy.
Dell holds a Black Friday sale every year, discounting many popular items deeply. If you made a Black Friday Dell purchase and later realize you shouldn't have, read the Dell return policy and procedure below.
Dell's Return Policy
You have to make your return within 30 days from the Black Friday sale if you want a refund or store credit. Shipping and handling fees are not refunded, and restocking fees are not refunded either. You must contact Dell before making the return. If you make the return without Dell's prior authorization then you will not receive either a refund or store credit, and Dell will not send the item back to you.
Software cannot be returned unless it is an operating system or application on a hardware system that can be returned, or it is media-based, and still in its unopened, original package. EMC- and Wyse-brand Dell products cannot be returned, nor can any non-Dell brand product or customized product.
If the reason for your return is not a defective product or an error on Dell's part, a restocking fee of 15% may be charged.
If the item you are returning was purchased with a discount, Dell may deduct the discount amount from the refund. If the item you are returning came with a promotional item and you do not return the promotional item along with the original purchase, Dell may deduct the value of the promotional item from your refund.
Making the Return
After getting your return, Dell will issue your refund, which could be reduced by the amounts described in the return policy above.
If you have any questions about the item you are returning, or the return process itself, you can contact Dell's customer service. It has help desk, email, chat, and phone support options.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Dell in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. And if you spot any issues with our How Do I Return an Item to Dell from Their Black Friday Sale? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible.
