In fact, they have a plan all set up just for those who need a little more time to pay their bill. If you need an extension on your Cricket Wireless phone bill, but don't know how to get one, this article can help.

What is BridgePay?

BridgePay gives you some extra time to pay your monthly bills so you won't lose your services. The program works by allowing you to split your bill into two payments so that you will have an additional seven days to pay the second payment. However, you must set up BridgePay at least seven days before or after your billing cycle starts.

How to Set Up BridgePay?

You can set up BridgePay at any Cricket store or by calling the toll free number found here and following the prompts for assistance. While this option is not available online as of yet, you can make payments online for your second BridgePay payment by visiting, "My Account" on their website or by using the "My Cricket" app on your mobile device. After signing in to your account, you will find the option to make payments at the top of the page. Another option to make a second BridgePay payment is to use Quick Pay Online.

There are some fees associated with BridgePay. Aside from having to pay the minimum payment that's due per line on your account, you will also have to pay a $5 activation fee for an account with a single line and $10 for accounts with multiple lines. Only one activation fee is required per billing cycle per account. In addition, there is a $4 fee for using the automated system or a Cricket support agent.

What You Should Know About BridgePay

For some people, it's a big help to get seven extra days to pay your Cricket Wireless bill. However, there are a few things you should know about before using this service:

  • In order to activate BridgePay, you must first turn auto pay off, and then after you make the second BridgePay payment you can turn it back on again.
  • If you have a new line not yet activated, you won't be able to set up BridgePay.
  • You must cancel all changes to add new features to your plan scheduled to begin when your next bill starts before you can activate BridgePay.
  • Any promotional offers that expire prior to your next billing cycle will not be available any longer.
  • You can cancel BridgePay any time before your original payment is due and your fee for BridgePay will be refunded as a credit to your account.
  • If you don't make your second payment on time, your service will be terminated and the total bill for next month will have to be paid before your account is restored.
  • You can only set up BridgePay once per billing cycle.
